Cool news in my world, everybody… beginning this morning, my new podcast with rockstar business systems and celebrity engineer Jason Silverman hits the digital shelves on iTunes, and I couldn’t be more stoked!  Our new, regular podcast called Who Knew It Was This Easy? is built specifically for entrepreneurs working with children and athletes of different kinds in the after school activity world; but at its core, it really discusses the realities of marketing and business today in a way that should resonate with everyone in the small to mid sized business world (SMEs).

“Who Knew It Was This Easy?” breaks down modern marketing and business systems based on the fundamental assertion that marketing is most cost effective and pragmatically useful by grounding it with a firm, online foundation.  After all, I think that we can all agree that whether you are looking at email marketing, setting up a website, or running a social media campaign, the easiest, cheapest way to distribute your marketing message to your perspective clients is online.  Conversely, if you still genuinely believe that the very best use of your marketing dollar is by spending it for an advertisement in the YellowPages… well… you probably aren’t here reading this blog post anyway.  🙂

Now obviously, doing pretty much anything online for business purposes is quite firmly in my professional wheelhouse – after all, it’s what my clients tend to hire me to do for them every day – but I’m really excited and honored to be teaming up with Jason Silverman on this at-least-weekly journey!  I’ve worked closely with Jason for several years and am honored to be sharing the microphone with him to bring this valuable information to folks on this podcast.  For those of you that don’t know Jason, he’s a complete badass.  After doing an obligatory stint in the corporate world for a few years and becoming more than a little disenfranchised with it, Jason’s more recently become a business systems guru after studying under Michael Gerber (The E-Myth) and working extensively with Dan Kennedy (Glazer-Kennedy).  He’s the CEO of Powerful Words, the leading character development program in the after school activities world, and proud husband of celebrity powerhouse Dr. Robyn Silverman (DrRobynSilverman.com, Good Girls Don’t Get Fat).  Jason has helped Dr. Robyn become one of the most sought after, go-to experts for child development and female body image in the country, with frequent appearances on Fox News, Anderson Cooper, The Today Show, The Early Show, and Nightline, as well as in publications such as Parents magazine and the Wall Street Journal.  Needless to say, Jason brings a treasure trove of business and marketing expertise to the podcast, and our combined knowledge makes a potent business cocktail… and who, who doesn’t want a cocktail?
